GORHAM - The University of Southern Maine School of Music will present two jazz concerts in early December. At 7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, Michelle Snow will direct the USM Vocal Jazz Ensemble in a concert of swinging music.
At 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, the USM Jazz Ensemble, directed by Chris Oberholtzer, and the USM Lab Jazz Ensemble, directed by Doug Owens, will present an evening of traditional and contemporary works for big band. For the larger Jazz Ensemble, Oberholtzer has selected pieces from the Duke Ellington library, the Artie Shaw library, and other more current tunes.See the full content of this document
