FARMINGTON - Registrations are now being accepted for the October Prescriptions for Health presentation titled "Communication and Swallowing Issues in the Neurologically Impaired Adult" featuring Susan Loughrey, MA, CCC-SLP. The presentation is part of Franklin Memorial Hospital's monthly community health information series that is free and open to the public.
On Wednesday, Oct. 12, Loughrey, a speech therapist, will discuss communication and feeding and swallowing issues that can affect people who have had a stroke or have a chronic, progressive neurological disorder such as Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis or ALS.
