Rotarians to Hear Endangered Species Talk

LEWISTON - Members of the Lewiston-Auburn Rotary Club will hear a presentation by Tara Thornton, Maine coordinator for the Endangered Species Coalition, at a noon meeting Thursday, Aug. 24, at the Ramada Inn.

A resident of Litchfield, Thornton has been an organizer and advocate for social and environmental justice for more than 20 years. She has held her current position since February. Thornton helps to coordinate activities among various groups and constituencies in Maine, including conservation, religious, hunters and fishermen, landowners and businesses.
