Philip W. Sugg Recognizes Students of the Quarter

Summary

At Philip W. Sugg Middle School in Lisbon, each quarter during the school year, two students-a girl and a boy are recognized for their achievements. This program is called Student of the Quarter. The decision is based on the students grades and work habits. The teachers nominate students in any of their class and decide who deserves the award. The students receive plaques with their name engraved by Maine Awards. The awards are sponsored by members of the Lisbon Rotary Club. Parents of students are notified their child has been nominated. This year for the first quarter there were a lot of nominees because the sixth grade students are also eligible, as well as seventh and eight grade students.

Justin Campbell and Katherine Lemieux received the Student of the Quarter this first quarter at PWS. Both Justin and Katherine great eighth grade students!
