Foundation Seeks Pink Tulip Support

Summary

LEWISTON - The Maine Cancer Foundation is seeking corporate and individual support for its third annual Pink Tulip Project planting. For the past two years, 5,000 pink tulip bulbs have been planted at community gardens throughout Lewiston, such as Veteran's Memorial Park, the Main Street median, Bates College, Central Maine Medical Center and St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. This year's Lewiston/ Auburn planting is scheduled to take place in the next two weeks.

The Pink Tulip Project commemorates the challenge of breast cancer and the celebration of hope that research and education provide, as well as raises funds for the Maine Cancer Foundation's Women's Cancer Fund.
