'Becoming Jane'

Since every single Jane Austen novel has been made into a movie at least two or three times, a biopic about the author herself seems long overdue. Anne Hathaway stars as Austen who, as the movie begins, is the underappreciated middle sister of a large brood. Hathaway and McAvoy are quite good in their roles, but the movie itself is curiously wan. Austen's books are justly celebrated as passionate romances, but passion is one of the main ingredients missing from this respectful, but bland drama. 2 hrs.'The Bourne Ultimatum'
