Summary
It's my experience that the movies I love best and, often, the movies I hate most, are the ones that leave me sitting in my seat, staring up at the screen waiting ... and waiting ... long after the credits have finished rolling, for what's going to happen next. Because something has to happen next. They can't just end it like that.
No matter how a movie ends, or whether you thought it was fantastic or the biggest waste of two hours of your life, we still keep going back for more. Movies are a multi-billion-dollar business, and for good reason: People are hopeful. Every time we go into a theater we hope that the movie will be great.
