Summary
AUBURN - Central Maine Community College recently obtained a Dimension SST 1200 series rapid prototyping machine.
Rapid prototyping is the automatic construction of physical objects using solid freeform fabrication. The Dimension machine can take virtual designs from a computer aided design file and transform them into thin, virtual, horizontal cross-sections, one after the next until the model is finished. It can also do it from the language of a computer numeric control machine, such as those in the machine tool lab at the college.See the full content of this document
