PORTLAND - Playing your high school football home games on the field named after John Taglienti hasn't been a precursor to winning the Campbell Conference Class C most valuable player trophy named after him.

That changed Sunday night, when in a not-so-surprising development, Jay High School offensive, defensive and special teams stalwart Nick Bourassa walked away with the Taglienti Award from the league's annual awards banquet at Verrillo's Conference Center.
