Board Denies Rite Aid Appeal

FARMINGTON - The Board of Appeals denied a variance to a Rite Aid developer's application to exceed the town's 100-square-foot maximum sign area allowance, Code Enforcement Officer Steve Kaiser said Friday.

Rite Aid plans to build a new store on lower Main Street where the Farmington Diner, former Quizno's and a C.N. Brown service station are located. Developers requested a sign area of 193.7 square feet.
