Auburn Woman Injured After Suv Hit Twice

JAY -- An Auburn woman was injured Sunday night after her sport utility vehicle was hit twice by two different vehicles on Route 4 near Maxwell Road. Police cited a New Jersey man on a charge of failing to yield the right of way, Jay police Sgt. Troy Young said Monday.

Barbara Randall, 85, of Auburn was driving south on the road at 7:09 p.m. when a car driven by Dinesh Yajnik, 60, of Guttenberg, N.J., failed to yield the right of way at the end of Maxwell Road, and turned right onto Route 4 and struck the SUV, Young said.
